The count to Pentecost
The Count to Pentecost
In order for us “truth seekers” to get to the truth we have to allow the Most High's Words, which are His Scriptures to have the final say on such vital topics like the Almenach (Calendar) issue.
Firstly, even if some disagree with the idea that we of Zion present in regards to certain doctrines of the Scriptures, I hope that we all are testing the spirits with Scriptures. In other words, if you don't agree with our Scriptural Stance on issues then use the Scriptures to correct, exhort or edify the given topic at hand. But if there is going to be no Scriptures posted in support of a given opinion, then it stifles the dialogue because what will be our unifying ground if it can't be the Holy Scriptures?
As well, hopefully before anyone fires of debatable emails to us, hopefully the readers are taking the time to completely finish reading the whole article through, ensuring that you are checking to see if our doctrine is in alignment with Jah's word's and in particular His Torah.
For those opposed to the Scriptural Almenach, it would be more helpful if reference to Scripture verses are used to support anything that may be a rebuttal towards doctrine; so that we can research what you are saying and maybe correct ourselves, otherwise we won't be able to exercise the nobility of the Scriptural “Beareans” who with all readiness of mind, had searched the Scriptures daily to see whether these things are so……….
Acts 17:10-11 - And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11: These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
SIGNS AND SEASONS
Allow me to quote some false information in regards to Jah's Almenach:
“The Most High's calendar and the beginning of the new year is not only tied to the cycles and appearances of the sun, and moon, but also the agricultural cycle of the (so-called) mid-east. The reason I say mid-east is because obviously along with the land of Yisrael, places like Misrayim are included.”
Without a doubt the Agricultural cycle of the so-called Mid-East (Land of Canaan and Mizraim) is directly tied to Jah's Almenach (Calendar). But the world uses the Host of Heaven to determine the times when to keep Jah's Holy Appointed Feasts, and that's wrong. Jah never commanded us to use the Lights of the Heavens to determine His Feasts. Yes the Lights can be signs of Jah's seasons.
In Summer the Sun is brighter, hotter and out longer and that is a sign of the Summer season. Likewise vice-versa, in the Winter, the Sun doesn't shine so long and it isn't as hot as in the summer. The seasons can also refer to the day and night seasons.”
Continuing with the false lunar calendar, it has been said:
To find the new year, it is rather simple, though translators have obfuscated the simple truth. " Watch for the new month of green ears" Yahweh says in the Torah. The green ears are those of the barley crop that are harvested in the spring. And the new month begins with the appearance of the crescent in the sky.
Where is the Scripture that shows us to watch for the crescent moon in the sky, and when does the Most High say “watch for the new month of green ears.”? He doesn't say anywhere to watch for a crescent or look for the green ears to determine when the New Year is.
The word Abib appears 4 times in the Scriptures, and nowhere is there mention of the crescent and green ears, and I know many people try to translate the word Abib to mean “green ears.”:
Exodus 13:4 - This day came ye out in the month Abib.
Exodus 23:15 - Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:
Notice that Abib is an appointed time and that Jah said “as I commanded thee” and He didn't say anything about looking in the sky. The month is to be observed just the same way the 7th day Sabbath is to be observed, it is nothing astronomical. As well, when the word “observe” is used in the Scriptures (55 times) and never is it regarding to look into the heavens at all, never.
Exodus 31:16 - Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, [for] a perpetual covenant.
Exodus 34:18 - The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
Deuteronomy 16:1 - Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto JAH thy Maker: for in the month of Abib JAH thy Creator brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.
The one time when the word observed is used is in the New Testament where Gentile followers were told not to turn back to observing the beggarly `elements' and their astronomical times.
Galatians 4:8-10 - Howbeit then, when ye knew not Jah, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods. 9 But now, after that ye have known Jah, or rather are known of Jah, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements (sun , moon and nature worship), whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 10 Ye observe (astronomical and pagan) days, and (lunar) months, and (astronomical) times, and (solar and lunar) years.
And remember Jah never commanded anyone to observe the sun and moon in regards to Holy Appointed times but on the contrary He said He NEVER COMMANDED it at all. Take note:
Deuteronomy 17:2-3 - If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the JAH thy Maker giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the JAH thy Maker, in transgressing his covenant, 3 And hath gone a nd served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;
In the book of Jeremiah, Jah speaks about the resurrection and what He will do to those who WALKED IN THE OBSERVATIONS OF THE SUN AND MOON AND SERVED THE TIMES OF THE SUN AND THE LUNAH (MOON)….it is very frightful to say the least…….read carefully.
Jeremiah 8:1-2 - At that time, saith JAH, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves: 2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
Everyone should work out their salvation with fear and trembling and allow the Scriptures to determine what we should and should not do.
I have also heard it said:
That is why we have the Wave Sheaf offering on the day following the first High Day of the Hag of Unleavened Bread…………. The first of this harvest is waved to the Creator hence t he Wave Sheaf offering on the day following the High Day of Unleavened Bread.
Well I would like to take this up in the next section……..line upon line.
AFTER THE 1ST DAY OF UNLEAVENED BREAD OR THE 7TH?
So let' clear things up.
From what I understand, many people in the world say that the wave Sheaf offering is the day after the first day of Unleavened Bread.
Many people also disagree with us that the Wave Sheaf offering is on the 1st day of the week, which the Scripture referred to as the “morrow after the Sabbath”. The sabbath being spoken of here is the 7th day Sabbath, of which we say is the day the seventh day of Unleavened Bread always falls on.
I will do my best to explain the reason why the Wave Sheaf offering can't be the day after the first Day of Unleavened Bread with the aid of the Torah. Also we will see how the Feast of Firstfruits is on the 1st day of the week.
In this next Scripture I want us to notice that Jah says “ye shall count”. This implies nothing astronomical, no command to watch for a crescent dark or full luna (moon) at all but it lets us know that this feast is dealing strictly with a literal count.
Secondly let us note that the count is to be “seven sabbaths,” seven complete weeks, which is equivalent to counting 49 complete days.
Leviticus 23:15 - And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
Ok, now the previous Scripture said “the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering;” Some people say that this “Sabbath” being referred to here, is the day after the first day of Unleavened Bread. This is not true.
Now we of Zion say that this “morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering;” is the day after the 7th day of Unleavened Bread and not the first day of Unleavened Bread.
So we see that we have to distinguish if this wave sheaf is after the first day of Unleavened Bread or if it is after the seventh day of Unleavened Bread.
So remember, “seven sabbaths shall be complete” which is 49 days.
The answer to which day is the correct day to begin the count of the feast of Weeks (Sabbaths) lies in the very next verse after Leviticus 23:15 which is a continuation of this counting…
Leviticus 23:16 - Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days, and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto JAH.
Now notice that the previous scripture said “the morrow after the SEVENTH SABBATH”. If you have eyes to see then you will notice that the 49th day spoken of here is called the SEVENTH SABBATH. Which Sabbath is this may I ask? The Sabbath which is the 7th day of the week, which this is implying. And the “morrow after this seventh sabbath” is the 1st day of the week, because this can be no other Sabbath.
But let us also notice that the Scripture says, “shall ye number fifty days”. So the 7 Sabbaths or 49 days plus the one day which is the “morrow after the seventh sabbath” equals 50 days.
So then lets take note of a couple of things:
This “seventh sabbath” spoken of here, has to be the seventh day of the weekly cycle. Can it be any other day than the 7th day Sabbath? If so, what Sabbath is it?
Secondly, if we count from after the first day of Unleavened Bread like Shemewa advises, then how do we get the 50 th day to fall on the “day after the seventh Sabbath” which is the first day of the week?
No matter how you try to COUNT (again no commandment here to observe the Luna or Moon), it can't fit at all. Why? Because, if you begin the 50-day count on any other day, other than the first day of the week, the days will not equal 50 when you get to the “morrow after the seventh sabbath” as Leviticus 23:16 so plainly states. So if it can't coincide with Jah's strict Command, then it has to be discredited.
It has also been falsely said.....
Also, the moon, sun and stars were created for the Most High's people to know of times and seasons.
Is that what the Scriptures say, does it say the sun and lunah and stars are for Jah's people….or does the Scriptures say that he gave the sun, moon and stars for all nations….lets let the Scriptures be the judge of that..
Deuteronomy 4:19 - And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, [even] all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the JAH thy Creator hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
Did you notice He said “ALL NATIONS”……
My people, Allow no one to teach anything about Jah without the sincere and proper use of Scripture.
One Love
