The Zion Assembly of Jah

The Feast of Trumpets
INTRODUCTION
Every one is familiar with the musical instrument called the trumpet. Made of a variety of materials, ranging from animals horns, copper, brass, silver-plated brass, steel and even pure silver, the trumpet is used in virtually every country on earth. Because the trumpet is audible at great distances, it is used in war and worship, especially outdoor worship. Every army has its trumpeters or buglers to draw the attention of the troops, to sound the alarm, or to convey a general's commands to his army.
The Feast of Trumpets is celebrated on the first day of Ethanim which is the Seventh month of the Creator's calendar. (Lev. 23:24)
Today in the year 6206 (2006 AD) in the first day of the 7th month Ethanim on the Creator's fixed Almenach (Calendar) (the Babylon equivalent is - August 5th 2006) is the Feast of Trumpets. It is the beginning of Fall.
The Ram's Horn - The Shofar
Each time you see the word trumpet in the Old Covenant verses below, remember that the original so-called Hebrew word was 'shofar.'
A shofar or trumpet is a horn. A horn can come from many animals: a sheep, goat, deer, etc. It is also a blowing instrument; you may hear musicians call their trumpets or saxophones horns. The trumpet we are speaking of here is the Ram's Horn. It had many uses with the people of Jahzrael. Horns also symbolize power or strength and at times kingdoms.
You may even want to study the full Scripture story from which these brief quotations are taken. Also, when reading, note when the 'shofars' were blown, who blew them, what events did they herald, what were the people of Jahzrael supposed to do when they heard the 'shofar' and how did the Jah of Abraham, Isaac and Jahcob respond. Note also how JAH Himself is going to blow the Great Shofar!
The 'shofar,' the ram's horn trumpet, represents the spokesmen of JAH the Holy One of Jahzrael; through whom His Spirit declares the Truth. It is a musical instrument of antiquity - of Jah's own making!
But why do we observe a FEAST OF TRUMPETS?
What has a trumpet to do with a Feast of JAH, the Holy One of Abraham, Jahsaac and Jahzrael. What does the trumpet symbolize?
What is this Feast of Trumpets a memorial of - anyway?
Why are we, the Mount Zion Assembly of Jah, celebrating the feast of Trumpets at this time the when the majority of mankind is busy going about its day to day business, oblivious of this Holy Sabbath? I hope to answer these questions. Let us begin by reading a passage about two silver trumpets JAH commanded Moses to make.
Number 10:1-10 - And JAH spake unto Moses, saying, 2: Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. 3: And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 4: And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee. 5: When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward. 6: When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys. 7: But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm. 8: And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations. 9: And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before JAH your Creator, and ye shall be saved from your enemies. 10: Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your Creator: I am JAH your Creator.
Notice the trumpets use:
One trumpet was used to assemble the elders of Israel.
Two trumpets used to assemble the whole congregation.
Alarm blasts were sounded to begin journeys.
The trumpets were sounded in times of war.
At the Feasts, the Sabbath and the New Months.
...The priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations. That they may be to you for a memorial before your JAH.
These are detailed instructions which contain vital information, the significance of which we need to understand. 'What and why' you may well ask, 'do we need to know?' Are all these Old Covenant Scriptures details important to us in the 21st century?
2. HEAVENLY ORIGINALS
The answer is: they are important, very important. We need to understand because every article, every instrument, every animal, every spiritual procedure used in the service of the Almighty JAH of Abraham was designed for a specific purpose. Moses received instructions from JAH in the mountain of Sinai. 'Make everything,' JAH said to Moshea:
Exodus 25:9 - According to all that I shew thee, after the PATTERN of the tabernacle, and THE PATTERN of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.
The writer of Hebrews refers to this command:
Hebrews 8:5 - See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the PATTERN shewed to thee in the mount..
JAH'S ceremonial commands foretell specific acts in the Plan of Salvation: each put there to point out an eternal concept or moral principle JAH wants to bring to man's attention. The silver trumpets mentioned in Numbers 10 are no exception. They both point to the heavenly originals, the Trumpets of JAH, which are blown by the Two Arch angels. We first see the use of heavenly trumpets in the giving of the ten Commandments at Mount Sinai.
Exodus 19:16 - And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.
Exodus 19:19 - And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and JAH answered him by a voice.
Sound, many of us know, can shatter glass, split rocks and cause buildings to explode into dust. In this instance the whole mountain range of Sinai shook and the nation of Jahzrael (Israel) trembled. Later we will consider those original heavenly trumpets and their use.
3. THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS
JAH'S Feasts, as we have published for a while now, are shadows and memorials of His mightiest acts in His Scriptural Almenach (Calendar) of Salvation.
When they are celebrated before the event they 'foreshadow things to come.' When they are celebrated after the event they are memorials, and will continue to be memorials for all time!
The Feast of Trumpets, occurring as it does on the first day of the seventh month Ethanim, has still to be fulfilled. To my knowledge, nothing of great spiritual significance, which could be taken as a fulfilment of this Feast, has ever occurred on this day. It still awaits fulfilment! Bear in mind that all JAH'S Feasts are shadows of things to come.
The Feast of Trumpets prefigures an event which has still to occur! When that event occurs, then the Feast of Trumpets will be celebrated throughout eternity as a memorial. Right now it is still a shadow of that event still 'to come.' Here is JAH's command concerning this feast.
Numbers 29:1 - And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing the trumpets unto you.
Leviticus 23:24 - Speak unto the children of Jahzrael, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
Notice that in Leviticus 23:24, the first day of the month is a Sabbath. This Sabbath is the 7th day of the week. As a matter of fact, the 7th month is the only month to begin on a Sabbath day on Jah's Invariable Almenach!
Many only think that Jah said this is a sabbath in the sense of it being just a rest day, and that it does not matter what day of the week the 7th month falls on........... but the Holy Spirit has revealed that the 7th month begins on the 7th day of the week, the Almighty Jah's Holy Sabbath day!
Just as the Sabbath Day is fixed along with Jah's earth, seasons, months (not moons!), and festival are set, even so every year from the beginning of Creation until the end of it, the Seventh Month of the Creator will forever begin on the Seventh Day of the week which is the 7th day Sabbath.

This fact is a vital piece of information that is just one of countless scriptural proofs that establishes Jah's True Almendrical system as the true and Original Calendar from the Scriptures that the Ancient Children of Jahzrael used that was given through Moshea (Moses) and has been around since the Beginning of Time! You will do well to remember this piece of Wisdom.
What is the event that is still to come? What is this feast a memorial of? I do not profess to know all the facts concerning this feast, any more than the disciples knew what was going to happen on the day of Pentecost: but I'm certain the verses we have quoted are directly linked with mighty events soon to occur. When they occur, heavenly trumpets - the originals - will herald them. Those alive in the Messijah and dead in Him will hear the trumpets like air raid sirens sounding throughout the earth. I'm certain it will be marvellous.
4. TRUMPET SHADOWS
The trumpet figured extensively in Jahzrael's past. Trumpet-backed dramas are recorded in the Scriptures. Most are dramatized prophecies for our time. They were staged by JAH to inform the entire universe of what He is planning to do in the last days of earth's history. The Apostle Paul writes:
1 Corinthians 10:11 - Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Let us now look at some of those prophetic dramas, those shadows of coming events and see what we in the year 2006 or 6206 from creation can learn from them.
The Ram's Horn was used by JAH'S command in ancient Jahzrael in many ways:
Holy War
Number 31:6 - And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the TRUMPETS to blow in his hand
The Fall of Jericho
Joshua 6:4 -6 - And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.5: And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him...6: And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of JAH
Joshuah 6:13 - And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of JAH went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came after the ark of JAH, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
Joshuah 6:20 - So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
A similar collapse of earth's cities is foretold in the book of Revelation.
Revelation 16:15-19 - Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. 16: And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. 17: And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.18: And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. 19: And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before JAH, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
Gideon's Victory
Judges 7:18 -When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of JAH, and of Gideon.
The 'Trumpet' will always herald victory in warfare, provided the people of the MOST HIGH are obedient to His law. Blowing it today is a call for Holy assistance.
Judges 7:16 - And he (Gideon) divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers...
Judges 7:20 - And the three companies blew the trumpets, and brake the pitchers, and held the lamps in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right hands to blow withal: and they cried, The sword of JAH, and of Gideon.
2 Chronicles 13:12 -15 - And, behold, Jah himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the Jah of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper. 13: But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them. 14: And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried unto JAH, and the priests sounded with the trumpets. 15: Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that Jah smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.
The Ark of the Covenant
2 Sam:6:15 - So David and all the house of Jahzrael brought up the ark of JAH with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
1 Chronicles 15:28 - Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of JAH with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
Anointing the King
1 Kings 1;39 - And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, JAH save king Solomon.
Revelation 11:15 - And the s eventh angel sounded (his trumpet) and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Master, and of his Messijah; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Dedication of Solomon's Temple
2 Chronicles 5:12 - Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:
King Abijah's victory over Jeroboam
2 Chronicles 13:1-20 - (Read about this battle where 500,000 soldiers were slain)
King Abijah said these words:
And behold, JAH himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the ALMIGHTY JAH of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.
Building the Second Temple
Ezra 3:10 - And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of JAH, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise JAH, after the ordinance of David king of Jahzrael
Jubilee Trumpet
Leviticus 25:9 - Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
5. STILL FUTURE
These laws and the experiences bear in mind are 'prophetic dramas, shadows, types, miniature examples ' of great universal realities due to occur in our day. This includes the sacred trumpets on high and the (ram's horn) trumpeters on earth.
Isaiah 18:3 - All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye. 4: For so JAH said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest...
Isaiah 27:12 - 12: And it shall come to pass in that day, that JAH shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel. 13: And it shall come to pass in that day, that the GREAT TRUMPET shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship JAH in the holy mount at Jahoshalem.
The Resurrection
When the Trumpet of the Master sounds, even the dead will hear it. It will trigger the resurrection. Millions of believers from ages past will rise out of their graves to greet the coming king. I tell you there will be a shout of delight so loud that the earth will shake. It will be the greatest day this old universe has ever witnessed. A day of freedom. A day of victory over death, pain, sickness, sorrow and separation.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 - For the Adonay himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of JAH: and the dead in The Messijah shall rise first:
1 Corinthians 15:52 - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
6. WE PREACHERS ARE TRUMPETS
But what about the ram's horn trumpet itself - the shofar. The Trumpet is a symbol of JAH'S mouth piece: His prophets, priests and preachers. It is through such human agents that His Holy Spirit blows. Our task as JAH'S spokesmen is as follows:
To Identify Sin - loud and clear!
Isaiah 58:1 - Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
1 Corinthians 14:8 - For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?
Jeremijah 4:19 - My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
To Warn the Assembly
Joel 2:1 - Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of JAH cometh, for it is nigh at hand...
The Believer's Apathy
Jeremiah 6:17 - Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.
Ezekiel 7:14 - They have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle...
The Watchman's Responsibilities
Ezekiel 33:3 - 6 - If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; 4: Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.5: He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. B ut he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. 6: But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.
7. THE DAY OF JAH
Joel 12:15 - Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
Zephaniah 1:15-18 - That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, 16: A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. 17: And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against JAH: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.18: Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of JAH'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land
Zechariah 9:14 - And JAH shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the ALMIGHTY JAH shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south
Isaiah 27:13 - And it shall come to pass in that day that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come that were ready to perish in the land of Assyria and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship JAH in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
In view of these facts:
Isaiah 18:3 - All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
In other words, let all on earth, let all the men in the world watch when the signal is raised, (a visible alarm) and take heed when the trumpet is blown! (an audible alarm)
WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN FOR US?
The 'shofar' was, and still is, sounded on JAH'S High and Holy Days: i.e. the weekly Sabbath, the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement and in the day of the New Month. Blowing it today is a reminder of the Everlasting Covenant between the Almighty Jah and His chosen people Israel.
Psalm 81:3 - Blow up the trumpet in the new [month], in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
Leviticus 23:24 - Speak unto the children of Jahzrael, saying, I n the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
Leviticus 25:9 - Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
We who are Believers are JAH'S trumpets, cornets, and spiritual instruments that JAH uses to warn others.
The trumpet message
Isaiah 58:1 - Lift up your voice like a trumpet and show my people their transgressions.
Where to blow
Jeremiah 51:27 - Set up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations.
THE SEVEN TRUMPETS OF REVELATION
The First Trumpet
Revelation 8:7 - The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
At this Trumpet, mighty continents housing millions of human beings will be devastated by hail and fire mingled with blood. Similar scenes, though on a much smaller scale, were witnessed in ancient times at the destruction of Sodom and Egypt. (Gen. 19:24, Exodus 9:24)
The Jah of Jahzrael then literally rained hail and fire on mankind because of their grievous sins and stubborn refusal to acknowledge His authority. The same thing is due to happen at the 1st Trumpet. We are also told that one third of the world's forests and all the green grass will be burnt up.
As foretold in Rev. 7. 1-3 the four winds will begin to hurt the earth and the trees.
What these events do to the agricultural output of the world is difficult to imagine: but it is quite obvious that this 1st Trumpet ushers in the terrible Time of Trouble! a time of international turmoil and terror unparalleled in the history of humanity.
The Second Trumpet
Revelation 8:8-9 - And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; 9: And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
At this Trumpet one third of the earth's oceans will congeal like the blood of a dead man. The sea, like the earth and trees before it, is being hurt as foretold in Rev. 7.1-3. All the traffic on the ocean/s involved will stop; and all the fish in those waters will perish. So just thinking about the death of even one ocean is a catastrophe of unimaginable magnitude. This 2nd Trumpet, in short, will disrupt the agricultural output, the economy and the physical welfare of the whole human race.
At about this time the sun will begin to scorch the earth, for the cooling effect of the oceans will have diminished and drought will become a world-wide problem. Hunger and thirst will then become as common in the West as they are today in the East. The Great Tribulation will have then entered its second terrifying stage.
The Third Trumpet
Revelation 8:10-11 - 10: And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 11: And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
Like the 1st and 2nd Trumpets before it, the 3rd Trumpet causes untold damage and distress on earth. A third of the rivers and fountains of water are now polluted and many people die as a result.
We read that 'a third of mankind' is scheduled to die under the 6th Trumpet. That frightening fact by itself, which is expressed twice in Revelation 9 verses 15 and 18, compels us towards the opinion of that the hurting of a third of the sea, a third of the ships, a third of the rivers, a third of the trees and all the green grass, at least on a prophetic plane, refer to the literal sea, ships, rivers, fish, trees and grass. Indeed, it is difficult to imagine what else they could be, especially when we remember that a third of the human race is scheduled to die at the 6th Trumpet.
The Fourth Trumpet
Revelation 8:12 - And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
The punishment hitherto confined to this planet now mounts up to the heavens. The sun, lunah (moon), and stars are somehow smitten and begin to shine with a greatly diminished beam. How this almost unimaginable catastrophe is brought about is not explained, but it is obvious that if this trumpet is understood in a literal sense, then physical light as we know it will be greatly reduced on earth. This is the result of the Mighty power of Jah.
Yes, the 4th Trumpet sets the scene for another dark age, a spiritual twilight zone in time when light from heaven will diminish greatly and Satanic activity on earth will increase sevenfold.
The picture presented so far is undoubtedly grim and the reader is probably wondering if there is any good news in this catalogue of catastrophe; any protection for the true believer in the terrible Time of Trouble.
We are happy to report that there is a great deal of good news and a most encouraging degree of protection; but these blessings are conditional, being reserved for those who genuinely endeavour to obey Jah. (Read Deuteronomy 28 for proof of the principle that the blessings of Jah are reserved for the obedient.)
Bearing these thoughts in mind, let us now return to the prophecy of the seven seals, for there are still three trumpets to explain. The last three Trumpets (5, 6 and 7) are so fearful that even by angel standards they are classified as 'Woes.'
The 5th Trumpet is the 1st Woe.
The 6th Trumpet is the 2nd Woe.
The 7th Trumpet is the 3rd Woe.
And we read:
Revelation 8:13- 13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
The Fifth Trumpet ... 1st Woe!
Revelation 9:1-6 - 1: And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.2: And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.3: And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4: And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of Jah in their foreheads.5: And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6: And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
No one will deny, but that here before us is a picture of absolute terror, when for 5 months earth's mighty population, all except the sealed servants of JAH, will be tormented by a host of merciless beings who are to arise from the bottomless pit. For obvious reasons we will not dwell on this frightening aspect of the prophecy once having presented it. Instead, we will briefly answer the following questions and point to a way of escape.
1) What is the Bottomless Pit?
2) And who are the beings that ascend out of it?
The general lack of interest in the Revelation has over the years resulted in a dearth of information about the Bottomless Pit. But it is obviously a subject which all the world should know about; for is not mankind going to be tormented for 5 months by beings which come out of the bottomless pit? The answers to those two questions about the bottomless pit and it occupants are of vital importance, so let us closely study the matter.
The original Greek word abussos is translated in the Scriptures (in Rev. 9:1) as bottomless pit. Some Scripture dictionaries render abussos as 'abyss.' The word abussos means exceedingly deep gulf or pit. Abussos is also used in Luke's gospel where it is translated simply as the deep.
In the incident recorded in Luke 8. 26-36 we are given an important clue as to what the abyss is and how frightened evil angels are of being sent there. If the reader will turn to Luke's gospel he will see (in verse 31) how certain devils who had taken possession of a man were themselves terrified of being ordered into the abyss. They literally begged the Messijah for permission to enter a herd of swine rather than be sentenced to the abussos the exceedingly deep pit.
From this incident we can see that the abussos, the Bottomless Pit, is a place or condition which evil angels dread; a kind of spirit penitentiary or dungeon which existed thousands of years ago.
Strong's concordance describing the 'bottomless pit' says it is a:
"pit of immeasurable depth, a very deep gulf or chasm in the lowest parts of the earth used as the abode of demons."
It is from somewhere within that unlit dungeon that a myriad symbolic locusts will arise at the 5th Trumpet or 1st Woe. (Rev. 9:1-3).
What are these locusts that torture mankind for five months? They are evil angels, devils of mind-bending depravity who were sentenced to the abyss long before the early Apostilic era. At this very moment (6206 or 2006 AD) they are still chained and completely immobilized within the blackness of the abyss, held there in total darkness awaiting the judgement of the Great Day. Here is proof of this astounding fact.
2 Peter 2:4 - 4 For if Jah spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Jude 6 - And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Yes, fallen angels are at this moment held captive in the abyss, the Bottomless Pit, fettered in a way we humans do not properly understand, so the symbol of a 'chain' is used to help us. At the 1st Woe, a mighty angel (star) will be Holy authorized to open the abyss, and out will pour this host of devils like the smoke of a great furnace. (Rev. 9:1-5)
The only people on earth who will be protected from their sadistic onslaught will be the ones who bear in their foreheads the Seal of the Jah of Jahzrael. All others will be tormented. Here is proof of this frightening fact.
Revelation 9:4 - And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of Jah in their foreheads..
Without labouring the point, we will at this stage again respectfully remind the reader to seriously consider accepting JAH'S Salvation, for fearful indeed will be the lot of those who reject it.
Revelation 9:12 brings us to the end of the 1st woe (the 5th Trumpet). The reader will have noticed that even though the scenes portrayed here are fearsome, Holy protection is assured to those who have Jah's Seal, especially from the terrors of Abaddon the Destroyer from the Abyss!
ALAS! MANY WILL NOT LISTEN
It is an absolute tragedy that, like Israel of old, millions of people pay little or no attention to JAH'S Word and the warnings it contains. Blindly they stagger on, refusing to acknowledge the Creator's presence, His Word, His Law and His offer of salvation through His only begotten Son Jahoshuwah the Messijah. This is the greatest mistake the human race has ever made and - alas! - is still making.
Jeremiah 6:17- Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.
CONCLUSIONS
All these important events will be heralded by the sounding of JAH'S heavenly trumpets. We should not only be aware that these events will happen, but mentally and spiritually prepared before they do happen; and that is now! The questions we should be asking are:
Am I doing the best I can to be ready when JAH and His Son Jahoshewah, the two great Trumpeters, shake the entire universe.
Am I acquainting myself with the Time Prophecies of Daniel and Revelation which are linked to the Feasts of JAH? For example if I heard JAH'S trumpet on a Feast Day, would I know what events would follow and for how long they will continue?
Do I realize that even my warning voice is in its small way a trumpet call which could carry a warning message to people near and far?
Do I know the Trumpet Message (JAH'S Sabbath Truth) enough to be able to lift up my voice and proclaim it?
Think about these things and pray, pray and pray again that you be accounted worthy to escape with your life - eternal life!
I end here with the prayer that JAH the Jah of Abraham, Isaac and Jahzrael, Creator of the mighty universe and Abbah of our Master and Saviour Jahshawah the Massijah will bless all those who seek to trust and obey Him. Happy Trumpets to all.
Praise Jah!
